Yellow Earth: internship in theatre

Tuesday, 02 June, 2009 Yellow Earth is offering a part time two month internship to support the company’s work, including an International Playreading Festival and a Youth Theatre project.

This is an opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic, London based intern to support Yellow Earth’s Co-Artistic Directors, General Manager, Education Associate and marketing work. You will be involved in helping to promote a festival in June, follow up monitoring and evaluation and then supporting and promoting our youth theatre project in July.

This would suit a languages, arts, media recent graduate or final year student, with an interest in Eastern cultures or youth theatre, looking to gain further work experience in the theatre industry. An ability to speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Japanese or Korean is also useful. This opportunity will be part time by arrangement, and will finish on 31st July.

The work will mainly take place at the company offices, based just off Leicester Square, and will be between the hours of 10:00 – 5:00pm Monday – Friday. There may be evening work by prior arrangement, especially during the International Playreading Festival.

Please note: there are no fee or expenses for this work experience. The work will vary on a daily basis in discussion with the company. We are happy to provide a letter of reference upon successful completion if required.

To apply: please email a one page CV to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with a paragraph on why you wish to be considered, by 10:00am Friday 5th June.
Interviews will be 8-9th June.
