Workshops culminating in performances with young people and community groups for Barking & Dagenham Council (Molten Festival), Thamesmead Chinese-Vietnamese Association, Arts Depot, Greenwich & Docklands Festival, the Mayor’s Festival and Leisure Connections Lincolnshire. Work with Museums; the Theatre Museum, Natural History Museum, the V & A Museum and British Museum, annual workshops at Big Youth Theatre Festival and at the Chinese Summer School and storytelling at various festival.
Additionally, we have run scores of workshops and Masterclasses exploring East Asian theatre in schools, colleges and community centres nationwide.
International workshops and masterclasses run in Finland, Denmark, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.

British Museum
In March 2007 Yellow Earth were specially commissioned to create an interactive gallery experience and 30 minute play for KS2 children and their teachers to accompany the British Museum’s highly acclaimed ‘The First Emperor’ exhibition. It ran from November 2007 - April 2008 and reached over 4,200 school children and their teachers.

China Now
As part of China Now’s national primary and secondary school cultural programme, Yellow Earth ran over 40 workshops in schools all over the country from February – July 2008.

Silk Web
A new departure for Yellow Earth creating a youth performance project inspired by the company’s main house production of Running the Silk Road.

Secondary school students from Longdean School in Hemel Hempstead, Kidbrooke, and Charles Edward Brooke School in London worked with a professional Chinese dancer, musician and Beijing Opera storyteller to explore these ancient stories and artforms and came together to perform at Watford Palace Theatre and the Pit, Barbican Centre.

Crossing Continents: Connecting Communities
Yellow Earth Theatre led a series of workshops with young people from Camden Chinese Community Centre and Brunswick Neighbourhood Centre – exploring and interpreting through drama the Society’s archives and assisting in the interpretation of the materials for their exhibition Crossing Continents.
